Tom Mesaros, Senior Counsel, The Alford Group, has been a part of the not-for-profit sector since 1975 when he joined the staff of the Chief Seattle Council, Boy Scouts of America. In 1995, he opened the West Division of The Alford Group and Tom was appointed President & CEO in 2003. He served in that role for 11 years, stepping down in February 2014, and still works as Senior Counsel.
Tom has been a member of the faculty at the University of Washington Extension Program teaching in the certificate course on fundraising.
He has served as the chair of the Giving Institute, a board member of the Giving USA Foundation, and is currently a board member of the Education Fund at North Seattle Community College.
